11 bus rides, 4 boat rides, 4 countries in 2 weeks

OK, I guess I can´t count Honduras (because I live there) or Nicaragua (because we just drove straigt through it), but at least I´ve still got Costa Rica and Panama. We took the 18 hour directo bus from Tegucigalpa to San Jose, arrived tired and wondering about our mental health. Nobody should have to sit on a bus for 18 hours.

Costa Rica is a developed country. I think I saw maybe one kid walking around without shoes on. "Am I still in Central America?" I thought. There are trees everywhere, infrastructure and road signs. Imagine that! In CR we visited a volcano crater which I´m sure would have been stunning if it weren´t for the clouds.

...Close enough! Later we hit two beach towns on the Carribean Coast, Cauhita and Puerto Viejo. Lots of rastafarian dudes, hippies, jewlry makers. And of course the beaches were pristine and lovely.

From there we went to Bocas del Toro, a group of islands off the Atlantic coast of Panama. I loved Panama. Loved it. Here´s why:

(Haha, I guess there is more to Panama than it´s beer...)
